I’ve been in mortgage 25+ years and have worked with thousands of clients. I’ve started businesses and pursued many different investments; some did well, some didn’t. I’ve been involved in the local church for more than 25 years as well, leading students and adults, serving on the stewardship team and in the role of elder for almost 9 years. I started and led a high school ministry called Fuel, focusing primarily on apologetics. I’ve been happily married for 25 years and have raised 2 incredible kids. My son is a sophomore in college and my daughter a sophomore in high school. For the last few years, I have been involved with The Exodus Road in the battle against human trafficking as an undercover Delta Operative.
The interesting thing with all of these life events and scenarios is that they are all basically focused on the same thing…FREEDOM.
Life is complicated and challenging. It can be exciting, and it can be deflating.
My hope is to apply the lessons I’ve learned through the experiences I have had to point people in the direction of freedom. Getting a mortgage is a big deal. It can kickstart a path towards financial freedom, but not all mortgages are the same. Some will get you there “better” or faster than others. You don’t want to make the wrong choice, and that means you absolutely need to work with the right advisor. And it’s not always about the lowest rate or lowest fees; it’s about who is going to put you in the right program, and then who is going to be tracking with you for life…to answer financial questions and keep you up to date on the next best step in your financial journey.
